My parents let us have their old fake tree to use this year to try out. I think they forgot two things: 1. The tree is half the size of our condo. 2. The top of the tree.
So, Jan wrote a poem about it.
Our first Christmas Tree…

It’s about 4 feet wide
and 5 feet tall
Green with lights
We’re having a ball
We won’t need a star
Because we have no tree top
Don’t worry though
It’s not a flop
Soon the ornaments will be hung with care
Thanks to our friends and family
Who are always willing to share
There are a few presents
Just waiting to be wrapped
And placed under the tree
As soon as I am apt
It will be so much fun
