I had a great birthday on Monday of this week!  I am now 30!  That's crazy.  No I don't feel any different necessarily...same ailments as before.  But, I've decided to embrace it along with my graying hair.

Jan through me an incredible party on Saturday.  It was really fun to have worlds collide and having my family and friends together.  One of the hits of the party was the photo timeline of my life that Jan put together with the help of my family.  I knew that she had been working on a "secret project" and I knew that it involved pictures but that's all I knew.  It ended up turning out really cool.  She had pictures of me from when I was born and walked through elementary, middle, and high school, then through college and up to today.  She even had friends and family write snippets of fun memories which made it that much more special.  What a great gift!

On my actual birthday, Jan surprised me with a one hour massage.  I've only had two massages in my life so this was a nice treat.  I had a deep tissue massage which was good, but the next day I was definitely feeling it.

Now that I'm in my 30's maybe I'll have to get more massages...

Today is my wonderful and beautiful wife's birthday! So wish her a happy birthday when you get a chance. I'm sure she'll appreciate it. Also, it's Bodie's 1st birthday too. I have to at least mention that as well since they share the same birthday.

For my birthday, my gracious and giving parents decided to cash in their Best Buy points and get me an iPod Mini.  I love this thing!  It's great for a few reasons:  1.  I like random mixes.  Just hit the random and play and I get all the songs that I have chosen myself in random order.  2.  The interface is excellent.  Very easy to use and the volume control is perfect.  3.  The size.  I can fit it in my pocket.  (no, that's just my iPod.)  Also, I could run with it...if I ran.  4.  iTunes.  It's a great interface that combines the online music library from iTunes, CD burning, CD ripping, playlist management, even radio stations from around the world.  All in one interface.  5.  I don't have to haul my portable cd player around and switch out disks when I need to.

So...thank you to my parents for a great and much-used gift.

For my birthday this year (in January), Jan bought us tickets to go see STOMP!  I think you actually have to spell it that way...STOMP!  Well, it finally arrived last night at the Paramount and we went with our friends Chris and Natasha.  If you have seen it, then you know that it is incredibly rad!  I was so impressed with the show and had a hoot of a time.  If you haven't seen it, and you get the chance to see it in the future then I recommend that you not pass up the opportunity to go.  One highlight was the main guy / stomper person.  He was this huge guy with a blonde mohawk, and looked very much like Brian Bosworth...

But, thankfully it was not Brian Bosworth.  Although, that could be a funny image itself.  But, I digress.  Thank you to my beautiful wife for treating me to some STOMP!  (say it like SHAFT!)

Today is my beautiful wife's 25th birthday!  To celebrate we made breakfast together this morning (eggs, grits, and toast...yes, grits!  mmmmm)  Tonight we are headed to the illustrious Salt Lick with some friends to celebrate some more and to stuff ourselves with some of Texas' finest meats and the best bbq sauce in the world in my humble opinion.

Happy Birthday Mrs. B-Dub!!!
