A shout out to my trustworthy and dependable Maxima who logged it's 100,000th mile last night!  Max has been a great car over the past 6+ years, and I hope it will continue to be so over the next few.

It was kind of cool and a bit sentimental as Jan and I were nearly in the exact spot we were at back in 2003 when her Altima turned over to 100,000.  Jan made me get out of the car and do a victory dance around the car.  Sorry, no pics of the victory dance, just the odometer.

B-Dub and Jan!  We get the prize for naming the new car.  (See "Has a home. Needs a name.")  The official name is “Gringo.”  Now, I realize that “gringo” means white man in Spanish, but we couldn't resist the parallelism that this word has with the English words “green” and “go.”  The car is green you see, and when you drive it, it will go.  I don't think I really need to explain this any further.  We like the name, that's all that matters.

Other entries were suggested by others.  Some of those included, “Major,” “General,” “Dubmobile”, “Fred”, “Babemobile,” “Jan Magnet”, “love wagon”, “love machine”, “Seargeant”, “Sarge”, “Paint Your Wagon,” “Skinner”, “Treeant”, among others.

Thanks to all of those who submitted their suggestions.  Sorry you are all losers.

Earlier, I had told you all about our new ride.

Here's a picture of the Explorer which for now is nameless. Any ideas for a name out there?
