« Dream System | Main | Four Weeks Notice »

As I've mentioned, I'm sick.  It's some kind of head cold thing that makes me achy.  The question I have for you is should I work out while I'm sick, or should I save my energy for recuperating?

I'd say if you are sick, then you should not work out. You should rest and drink a lot (of water and juice, not Mojitos.) If you have allergies, working out could do you some good, but not if you're sick. Sicko.

Don't work out. Rumor has it that working out when sick will weaken your immune system even more. Just stay in your racecar shaped bed and drink plenty of fluids. Oh, and sleep. Sleep is good for what ails 'ya.

I say work out. It will cause you to want to drink more fluids (I suggest water and OJ) and sweating is good for drainage. Playing soccer helped me when I was sick. I think exercise will help you feel better.

i kinda think it depends on the sickness and what stage of the sickness you are in. so many factors. the main thing everyone has said that is right on is to drink alot...gatorade is really good for you when you are sick. but i would say once fever is broken.. give it 24hrs then start back excersizing but take it easy the first time back... you will be weak and you dont want to black out, caousing you to pass out and hurt yourself...

Well, it's a head cold mostly, with a lot of sinus pressure and general achiness and general lack of energy. It's always worst when I first wake up in the morning. I've been drinking water constantly. Until yesterday, each day was worse than the day before. I think that today might have been the same as yesterday or maybe a little bit better. I did definitely have more energy this afternoon than I've had in a while. Jamie and I are going to down to her parents tomorrow for a night. So, I think I'll just wait until we get back and get cranking again on Friday. I've got to be buff for all you Texans in a few weeks.
