OK, so I'm gearing up for a skydive some time soon.  I have a question for those that have done it before.  Is temperature a factor?  I mean, should I do it now, or should I wait until the spring and warmer weather?

It was freezing when I did it in the spring....when you hang out of the door at 13,000 ft. the wind is awful...it was extremely cold (but it was only 70 degrees or so on the ground)...so I would think doing it when it's already 40 degrees on the ground would be horrible....but who knows.

Bear in mind that I am in Cali. So 70 degrees on the ground, eh? I think we still get that during the day.

I say go ahead and do it...yeah its really cold on the way up and when they open that door, but once you're out-there's not much on your mind other than you're falling at 100 MPH. Cold doesn't matter at that point....if you're making a trip to texas anytime in the future let me know and we can go to skydive Dallas and jump together

It's 70 degrees right now in Austin, too.

You should wait.

It's cold either way when you are up in the air, but who cares, it's worth it. When I went, the hardest part for me was the pressure on my chest during the free fall. But the free fall was the best part after jumping out of plane and doing a couple of flips. Just jump!
